Stage 04 · SwiftUI app

A real SwiftUI app, proven by its own tests

AppFactory scaffolds the app from one spec file and regenerates its spec driven parts whenever the spec changes. Your agent writes the features; the gates decide when they are done.

The job it replaces

Hours of busywork, gone

Doing it by hand

  • Starting from an empty Xcode project
  • Wiring onboarding, the paywall and settings again for every app
  • Store products, the StoreKit file and the code drifting apart
  • Calling it done because it compiled once

With AppFactory

  • A SwiftUI app scaffolded from your app spec with XcodeGen
  • Onboarding, a personalized paywall, an offer paywall, settings and analytics hooks
  • Products, paywall source and StoreKit config regenerated from the spec
  • Done means the build and the tests are green, and so are the Maestro smoke flows unless you turn them off

What the agent does

Step by step

  1. Scaffold from the spec

The project is created from your app spec: products, StoreKit file, locales, onboarding length and monetization mode, with pipeline tracking and a local git repo. A private GitHub repo is one approved step away.

  2. Plan the onboarding

Guidance on how many onboarding steps the app should have before the hard paywall.

  3. Keep it in step

Change the spec, regenerate. Products, the paywall source and the StoreKit config are rebuilt, and the StoreKit config is checked against the spec, so the products do not drift.

  4. Build and test

Simulator builds and xcodebuild test runs on an iOS simulator, plus a toolchain check that covers Xcode, Swift, uv, asc and Maestro.

  5. Test it like a user

Maestro flows run on the simulator with the live Viewer open, so you can watch every tap. Unless you turn smoke tests off, the TestFlight step refuses to ship until the smoke flows pass, and the bundled smoke flow stops at the paywall without tapping a purchase.

  6. Speak your users' languages

Translations are merged into the String Catalog. The default spec has six app languages, and a bundled test fails when any key is missing a translation.

  7. Measure what matters

Firebase Analytics with a fixed event catalog, sending only from production App Store builds.

What you get

At the end of this stage

  • An iPhone app for iOS 17.5 and later, built with the iOS 26 SDK and native Liquid Glass system chrome
  • Onboarding, paywalls and settings that match the design
  • Unit, UI and Maestro tests that pass
  • A local git repo with the app's history, and a private GitHub repo if you approve one

Where it stops for you

  • Creating the GitHub repo and pushing to it wait for your approval.
  • The features stage closes only on a green build and test run; a worker saying done never overrides a gate.
